What is a Mine?

A mine is defined as a collection of mining claims or tenements that fall under the same administration for the purposes of :

  • Filing of mine production returns
  • Environmental Impact Assessment licensing
  • Mine management and safety compliance
  • Such a collection of mining claims or tenements should be contiguous and or be within reasonable proximity to each other so as to qualify to be considered to be in the same geographical location.

    What do the on-boarding fees cover?

    The mine on-boarding fees are made up of:

  • Initial registration costs
  • Subscription for the first year from the date of subscription and subsequent subscriptions being paid separately on an annual, bi-annual or quarterly basis as preferred.
  • What does the registration package consist of?

    Initial registration costs cover the capture and uploading onto the Mining Connect Digital Platform (MCDP) of the following:

  • Mine boundaries and coordinates
  • Mine plant inventory up to 20 items
  • Mine works up to 10 items
  • 20 Archive documents
  • Historical production records
  • What costs are not included in the initial registration cost?

    The following services are not covered by the initial registration amount and will be quoted for and invoiced separately on a case by case basis:

  • Geo-coding of mine works
  • Geo-coding of Mining fixed plant
  • Geo-coding of sample locations and capture of assay data
  • Geo-coding of mineral resource deposits
  • Geo-coding of mine specific geological maps
  • Geo-coding of mine survey maps including site maps
  • Mine information field verification exercises
  • Registration for investment facilitation
  • How is mine information shared with Mining Connect Admin?

    For the purposes of information authentication, original copies of all information to be uploaded onto the MCDP will should to be presented physically at the Mining Connect offices where they will be verified before being scanned, uploaded and digitized. Such documents should include:

  • Mining claim registration certificates
  • Certified maps showing claim boundaries
  • Schedule of certified claim corner coordinates
  • Owner identity documents
  • EIA certificates and reports
  • Mine title renewal certificates
  • Employee returns
  • Any mine related documents to be archived such as contracts, letters, receipts and returns
